Blogger is still being annoying and not fixing that spinning icon that seems to be permanently stuck on my "new entry", but at least I can still post... it just requires a couple more clicks to get to a new post. Being the usual lazy self, I can see it getting irritating, but since I don't blog very often, it's ok once in a while~

I'm still very behind in my blog entries, so it's been decided that I'll do small entries, not huge ones, but more of them, so eventually, I'll get back to the present.

From Week 24-27, 2010
A few weeks ago, winter was at its deadliest- lots of people had the winter flu, and it was so cold, the windscreen of the car froze over with frost. I was getting up one Wednesday morning at 5:30 to get to uni, and saw this~

From Week 24-27, 2010
It's very pretty, but at that time, it was so cold, it wasn't funny. I heard people pour hot water over their windscreen to melt the frost, but we didn't have hot water at hand, so it took a while of my dad driving blindly by peering through a tiny hole without frost before it melted enough to be considered "safe".

From Week 24-27, 2010
Must say though, it forms a really pretty pattern.

From Week 24-27, 2010
Few days before that, I tried making banana bread. My parents were buying bananas in bulk and replenishing it faster than anyone could eat them at that time. It was a recipe in a cookbook that I've been waiting to try. Didn't turn out quite the way the picture looked- as usual, their picture is much nicer, even though I followed the recipe as closely as I could... which isn't very close, but hey~ I'll be modifying this recipe, so hopefully, next time I can post the recipe for it. It's really just putting everything in a processor, pouring it out into a tin and baking it. Simple! =D

From Week 24-27, 2010
Day out with my uni friend, PT. We headed to the Rocks for pancakes because her friends were coming from overseas the following week and she wanted to explore the Rocks with them.

From Week 24-27, 2010
Strawberry cheesecake crepes. These had raisins and cream cheese inside the crepes. Interesting, though I was never really into dried fruits like sultanas and raisins.

From Week 24-27, 2010
My parents found a new place other than Jane's Kitchen! *heavens open with light rays pouring through the cracks* The only thing is... I can't remember the name of it. I've only been there once with them (whereas they've been there AT LEAST 10 times). In canto, it's pronounced as "Hon Gei"  at Eastwood and has really nice Shang Hainese food.

From Week 24-27, 2010
This looks like something my cats would love- fried fish.

From Week 24-27, 2010
回锅肉. I don't know what it is in English. Wui Wor meat?

From Week 24-27, 2010
Veggie dumpling soup! Really like these kind of dishes because the skin is so slippery and smooth, and the broth is just right.

From Week 24-27, 2010

From Week 24-27, 2010
Of course~ XLB.

From Week 24-27, 2010
This was interesting. It's a whole big bowl of mini tang yuans!

From Week 24-27, 2010
You'd think because they're so small, no one will bother putting anything inside, but nup, it has black sesame filling in each one.

From Week 24-27, 2010
My brother's treat one night when we had no dinner~

From Week 24-27, 2010
From Domino's, this was meant to be their creme brulee pastry. Lies! There was nothing inside!

From Week 24-27, 2010

From Week 24-27, 2010

Breakfast at MarioTokyo~ I was sitting next to the wall with all the writings and drawings, and discovered that Tokyo, the dino, is actually the offspring of Godzilla, but because Godzilla was being detained for decimating the city with his stomping, Mario met Tokyo and they've been together ever since. =)

From Week 20, 2010
Reposted photo- Tokyo the dino =D

From Week 24-27, 2010
So Franklins has been sold. To Metcash, IGA. Whether or not Franklins will all turn into IGAs in the future, no one knows, but really, it's such a hole already, it cannot possibly go any lower. At least they sometimes have good specials! Like this Sarah Lee cheesecake, bite size. Usually these are so overpriced, no one ever bothers getting them. Now they're half priced- $3~!

From Week 24-27, 2010
Tiny indeed... =_= Thinking about it from a logical point of view, an ordinary slice of cheesecake outside in some cafe will probably cost at the same- $3. So if you think that inside this box sits a slice of cheesecake, paying $3 doesn't seem so bad.

Moral? ... Justifying what you buy is bad. Don't do it.

And so much for posting a mini entry. I'll just shut up now. There's Code Blue Season II to watch.

We had heaps of frost in Canberra too! They didn't look as pretty as yours, but luckily we weren't in a huge rush, so we sat in the car with the heaters on full blast at the windows and waited for them to defrost.

I didn't realise Metcash bought Franklins... Hope my shares go up...

Code Blue 2? About time you started. Yamapi's waiting....

Hm... can't say if it's a good thing or bad that metcash acquired franklins =P it won't be finalised till september at least.

And I'm up to ep 5 of code blue 2! just finished yamata nadeshiko before that. Lots of ikemen in that one =P Yet to watch Smile too. You're right about code blue 2 though, it's better than one. And erika is definitely a much more likable character in it =)

I've skipped Smile for now and started Shokojo Seira. About 4 eps into it now, and it's not too bad. Shida Mirai's still good, except for the initial awkwardness of her being a princess. She plays the downtrodden girl pretty well - experienced from Queen's Classroom I guess.
